O&B Report for Tuesday 3 February 2026

A very windy, albeit sunny, day with excess grass and weeds on the fairways due to grass-cutting equipment being repaired....needless to say the scores were low with only 2 of the 12 starters scoring more than 20 points !! The mention went to Iona Elliott with 15 points on countback. Fourth place, with 19 points, also on countback, went to Yours Truly, winning 3 Euro. Third place, with the same 19 points, was taken by Ron Marsh, winning 5 Euro. The runner up, with 23 points, winning 7 Euro, was Gary Brownlee. The winner with an excellent score of 25, winning 9 Euro, was Alan Young; a great achievement in arduous conditions - well done, Alan. The monthly stableford is scheduled for Saturday and it has been confirmed that the grass-cutting equipment will be in action once again tomorrow so the course should be better for Saturday.
