It was our first outing of the year and eight of us went to Elea Golf Club; we had to make up 4balls so our ninth player, Ray Taylor, stepped down - he's a good egg ! He would have been well boiled if he had come along today as it was a hot and humid affair, although it didn't adversely affect the scoring of one of our number as will be revealed. The mention went to Ron Marsh on 26 points. Third place was taken by Chris Cowin with 28 points, winning 3 Euro. The runner-up was Bill Ferguson (your truly) with 31 points, winning 5 Euro. And now, Mr outstanding today, taking the top prize with 38 points, winning 8 Euro, Alan Young; a brilliant exhibition of golf Alan, very well done indeed. I'm away in UK for a couple of weeks, off to Troon for the Open, so the reports might have to be rested on this media. Catch you all when I get back, in the meantime keep swinging !
