O&B Tuesday 5 March 2024

A good turnout of eleven players set off on a beautiful, almost summer's, day to win the honours. Three people scored 32 points but only two of them made it into the report being Chris Cowin getting the mention and Mike Sotiriou, coming fourth, getting his 2 Euro back. Third place went to Alan Young with 34 points, winning 4 Euro. Our runner-up, on countback with 35 points, was Alison Hallatt winning 7 Euro. The winner, on the same 35 points, was Tony Sarginson winning 9 Euro; a great performance on the day. We say farewell to Tony for a couple of months as he returns to N Ireland for a cooling down period !!? We were all deeply saddened by the news of the passing of Ron Marsh's wife, Ursie, after a devastating bout of double pneumonia from which she was unable to recover. Our condolences to Ron, and hopefully, all that are able to will be there next Wednesday to support Ron as he bids a final farewell to his beloved Ursie at 1.30 pm at the new Pissouri cemetry.
