O&B Tuesday 21st November

A great turnout of 12 players for the medal round today. A big welcome to Howard and Susan Sims joining us for the first time during their brief holiday membership; good to have you with us. Despite the near perfect golfing conditions, the challenge of the medal round curtailed the scoring somewhat. The mention was taken with 28 points by Brian Basting. Alan Young squeezed into 4th place with 29 points to win his 2 Euro back. 30 points secured third place for Bill Ferguson and a five Euro prize. Our runner up with 31 points, winning 7 Euro was Alison Hallatt on her last appearance before heading back to Ireland for a while. The star performer of the day, with 33 points, was Ray Taylor, taking the 10 Euro prize; no clubs were thrown - obviously ! Our Team event is scheduled this Saturday where O&B will take on the WAGA and an Ad Hoc team named Jen's Jewels...should be fun. The last time that something similar was arranged we 'Oldies' won the day... can we repeat the performance ? Well done Dave McVey scoring 41 points at Ay Nik last Saturday in the Inter Club comp - overall it was a great team performance leaving us in a strong position for the final round at Dhekelia in January. Catch you all on Saturday !
