O&B Report for Tuesday 19 March 2024

Great to have eleven players out today including a couple of first-timers to O&B, namely Jenny Taylor and Alastair Smylie. Challenging conditions from the get-go with strong winds causing problems for some ! Getting the mention with 26 points was Sal Harris (Sal, Jenny and Alison were also battling it out for the Lady Club Champion title). Fourth place was taken by Alison Hallatt with 26 points, winning 2 Euro and becoming the Lady Club Champion; well done Alison. Third place went to Alastair Smylie with 30 points, winning 4 Euro; a great start to, hopefully, a long golfing career to come. Our runner-up, with 33 points, winning 7 Euro, was Mike Sotiriou; a good score in the windy conditions. However, the master of the course today, taming winds and all else before him, with 37 points and winning 9 Euro was our, Mens' Club Champion, Alan Young; outstanding stuff Alan and an inspiration to us all !! It's the monthly Stableford competition tomorrow (Wed 20th) and the Teams competition this Saturday 23 March - see you there.
