O&B Report for Tuesday 12 March 2024

It was a pleasant surprise to see Ron Marsh turn up today with his son Paul to play on this slightly windy but otherwise beautiful sunny day. We had a total of 10 players to continue our good turnout, if not such great results - with a couple of exceptions, that is. Getting the mention on 22 points (really) was Mike Sotiriou. Fourth place with 24 points winning his 2 Euro back was Dave 'Doc' Smith. Third spot was taken with 26 points by Paul Marsh winning 4 Euro - a good result given Paul's lack of experience on our challenging course. The big battle was for the top two places, both with 32 points; losing out on the countback, winning 6 Euro, was Alan Young. Our big winner, taking the top prize of 8 Euro and all the applause, was Alison Hallatt; very well done Alison ! Please keep your diary free on Saturday 23 March when the previously postponed 'Teams' competition is planned to be held....more info to follow when finalised. Tomorrow we gather to support Ron, Paul and the rest of the family at Ursie's funeral in Pissouri - bright coloured clothing is requested please. See you there.
