A good turnout of 10 players including 2 returners, Tony Sarginson and Andy Rahman, who were welcomed back. Playing conditions were uncomfortably hot with little to no cooling breeze, nonetheless some great scoring was achieved as follows. Reclaiming her 'mention' status was Chris Cowin with 33 points - on a countback, mind you ! Fourth place went to Tony Sarginson with 36 points, winning his 2 Euro back. Third spot was taken with 37 points by Mike Sotiriou, winning 4 Euro. Second place went to Ron Marsh with 38 points, winning 6 Euro. And taking the top prize, for the third time in a row, with 39 points, winning 8 Euro, was Dave McVey; very well done Dave ! This Saturday is the farewell competition for Phil Mallion which could be a cross-country scramble - sounds like a lot of fun; hope to see you there.
