O&B Report for Tuesday 13 May 2025

Following last Tuesday's match against the visiting Royal Logistics Corps (Scottish Div), this week all was back to normal for O&B, with a slight difference....it was the May Stableford competition OFF THE RED TEES ! This was the first such competition off the red tees since the renewed club card was issued making the PAR for men now 67 off the reds (all previous par 5 holes are now par 4 for men off the red tees). That said, there were some great scores achieved in perfect playing conditions. The mention went to Moray Campbell with 37 points on countback. Fourth place was taken with 38 points, on countback, by Mike Sotiriou, winning 2 Euro. Third place went on the same 38 points to Ray Fish, winning 4 Euro. The runner-up with 39 points, winning 6 Euro, was Yours Truly, Wild Bill. And continuing in a rich vein of form to take the top spot, with 40 points, was Alan Young, winning 8 Euro; another splendid performance Alan, very well done. We welcomed Andy Rahman back again for a short visit. Rob Cowin is recovering well following his back surgery and is taking things slowly, as prescribed. This Saturday is another competition - the monthly medal; let's hope that we can all keep our form going !
