Despite the threat of rain, ten decided to take a chance and play today. The damp conditions from the overnight rain made the early holes a bit sticky and long but, nonetheless, some good scores were achieved. Three people on 30 points were contending for the mention which went to Dave O'Neill with the best back 9. Sal Harris took fourth place with 31 points to win her 2 Euro back. Third place went to Alan Young with 33 points, winning 4 Euro. The runner-up was Alison Hallatt with 36 points, winning 6 Euro; solid play Alison. The winner was an in-form player who has been appearing regularly in the top tier, with 39 points, winning 8 Euro - Dave McVey. Very well done, Dave; let's hope the force continues with you (and the rest of the team) as you tackle the Ay Nick course on Saturday playing in the Inter Club match. Next Tuesday we will be playing a medal round, if desired, so let's make use of this opportunity to submit a qualifying card - see you then.
