O&B Report for Tuesday 23 January 2024

More rain overnight keeping the course nice and green but also making it play a lot longer; it didn't deter the 11 players getting out there and doing the business.  Firstly, a big welcome to Chris Emsley who will be joining us whenever he can.  So, the scores....30 was a popular score and got the mention for Alan Young on the countback.  Fourth place with 30 points, winning 2 Euro, was Tony Sarginson.  Third place with 30 points, winning 4 Euro, was Chris Cowin.  The runner-up this week with 35 points, winning 7 Euro, was Dave McVey. However, the top spot was won by the experienced octogenarian, Ron Marsh, with an impressive 37 points, winning 9 Euro; very well done indeed Ron you showed all of us 'young lads' how it should be done !!  A great result by the team in the final Inter Club Comp last Saturday clinching a season's win ....well done Epi !  It's the Memorial Trophy this Sunday, please try and support if you can, otherwise, see you next Tuesday.
